The Art of Home: A Podcast for Homemakers
Homemaker Portrait | Emily Baxter
Hello Homemaker! After a little update on what I was doing last month on my podcast break, I've got a brand new In-the-Trenches Homemaker Portrait for you!
About today's guest, Emily Baxter: She’s a busy homeschool mom of 5, she’s a writer and a lover of all things home and homemaking. Emily has a passion for creating beauty in her home and cultivating a space that is a welcoming and peaceful place to land. WE chat about her life at the edge of an 80 acre forest in upstate New York, including tapping maple trees for sap to make syrup, how bravery in homemaking is skill and what it’s like to be married to a lineman who is called out at all hours, day or night to literally keep the lights on for their community.
